Do I need any equipment?
Yes, you need to wear books with a walking heel. It does not need to be a riding boot, but it should come over the ankle and be ½ inch to 1 ½ inches in height. You should wear long pants, and you can borrow a helmet from us for your first lesson.

Should I come early?
Yes, please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled lesson time. Sometime our traffic can be an issue and finding our exact location can slow things down.

Will I be riding in my first lesson?
Absolutely! Our lesson are about learning how to ride. Proper mounting, walking, basic steering, communication, and a few steps of trot are all part of your first riding lesson.

Is there a viewing area?
Yes, parents or a friend are welcome to watch the riding lesson from bleechers that are located at the edge of the arena.
Yes, the viewing area is elevated and directly next to the arena. Please don’t stand next to the arena as that can spook the horses.
Can I bring our dog?
No, we don’t allow outside pets. There are two resident dogs on the farm. They are friendly, but please do not feed them and please be careful when driving in the parking lot.
Unfortunately not, we have a few farm dogs who are very friendly with people but not other dogs. Also, please be careful driving your car as a few of them are old and sleep behind cars, or will beg for food and attention. Feel free to pet the dogs, but don’t feed them, as they are on special diets.
